It's a Small World After All

Just found out that a friend of mine from high school also has a knitting blog, Crafty or Crazy. I'm going to try to link to it here (we'll see how successful I am--I'm still not terrible skilled with all this HTML stuff). Anyway, she married a British guy and moved to the UK a few years ago, so I haven't seen her in ages, but we manage to keep in touch with e-mail, and now that she has a blog, I'll be able to check in on her knitting projects. She's more prolific than I am, that's for sure. I knit a lot, but because I'm always knitting 10 projects at the same time, it takes me a while to finish anything. I admire people like Dawn who have the discipline to stick to one project at a time and actually, you know, finish things.

Dawn. A time of day. A prolific knitter and old friend. A Swedish Pilates teacher. A former baton twirler. And yet I can only think of one thing. Cakes! Help me.

I know! That name has been pretty much ruined for me, too.

Oh, for sure. Like "Sauron," it's an ill-omened name! ;)

Actually...I do tend to have several projects going at the same time...but not all knitting.....I've been working on a huge linen cross-stich for 4 yrs now! But of course right now I'm knit crazy...

Since I don't know who the Swedish Pilates teacher or the baton twirler are, I won't take offence at poking fun at my name......

Heh--the 3 of us had an evil co-worker named Dawn, so we now have unfortunate associations with it. Maybe I'll start referring to you as Good Dawn and the other one as Evil Dawn.
