I just got back from mailing the socks to Afghans for Afghans. I finished the larger pair of socks just in the nick of time. The deadline for this shipment is March 7. Anyway, I think they turned out nicely.
They should fit a child up to 13 or 14 years old, depending on how tall he/she is. Here's a close-up up of the stripes; I'm happy that I got them to line up, just as I did with the smaller socks.
Now I need to finish the baby sweater my friend commissioned. I'm done with the knitting, now it's just a matter of sewing it up and getting the buttons on it.
