A Matched Set

Didja miss me? Seems like forever since I blogged. I've been busy making some items for the latest Afghans for Afghans campaign. They asked for hats, mittens, and socks, this time, so that's what I made.
I feel as if I should apologize for the poor quality of the photo. I forgot to recharge the battery on my camera after my last trip to visit the nephew, so I had to snap this one with my crummy cell phone camera. No, I don't have a fancy iPhone with a fancy camera. Maybe some day, but not while data plans are still frightfully expensive. Anyway, the brown yarn is Lion Brand fisherman's wool in natural brown, and the red and orange yarns are leftovers I had lying around. I lost the ball bands long ago, so I have no idea what brand they are, although I suspect that the red is Patons wool. I like the red, orange, and brown together. The bright colors really pop against the neutral background. I've started another project for myself--a scarf, of course. I'll post pictures when I have a few more inches done. Is anybody watching the Olypmics, or participating in the Ravellenic games? I'm not nearly that ambitious, so I admire those of you who are. Happy knitting!
