What I Bought at Vogue Knitting Live

Last weekend I went to Vogue Knitting Live with a good friend. I was very restrained and only bought two things. First, I got some hemp yarn from Hemp for Knitting to make a market bag. I made a market bag out of linen yarn a few years ago, and it is holding up well, but I don't like the fact that the handles are so short. I want something that can go over the shoulder.
My other purchase was some hand-dyed yarn from Mia Bella. The yarn is called Disco Diva, because of the sparkly flecks in it, and this color is called Oranjello.
There are only 400 yards of this yarn, which isn't enough to make a garment. I suppose it will have to be yet another orange scarf, because goodness knows I don't have nearly enough of those.
However, all this is going into the stash for now. I'm still working on some mittens for myself, and then it's time to start the Christmas knitting. I have a request for fingerless gloves for my sister and mittens for my nephew. I also want to make a few more of those Arne & Carlos Christmas balls that I knit last year. I have 7 1/2 weeks; do you think I can get all of it done in time? Call your bookie and place your bets.
