A Finished Shawl and a New Scarf

At long last, I'm getting around to posting pictures of the Imagine When shawl, which I finished 2  weeks ago. This is it on the blocking wires. God bless the person who invented these wires. They make blocking big projects SO much easier.

And this is it draped around my shoulders. It was chilly enough last Sunday that I wore it to church. I think it looks pretty dang awesome. I used Colinette Jitterbug yarn in the color October Afternoon.

I started another charity project. A friend put me in touch with a youth homeless shelter here on the south side of Chicago, and they need scarves for their clients. I found some Lion Brand Suede in the stash.

I think it will make a really handsome, soft, and warm scarf. I plan to make at least one more scarf for the shelter before I turn my attention to Christmas knitting. My nephew has requested a hat and scarf for Christmas this year, so I need to get cracking on those projects before the holidays sneak up on us.
Hope you're enjoying the crisp cool knitting weather!
