There are going to be some big changes in my family this year. My nephew's mom got married last summer and is expecting a baby girl in June, so my nephew is finally going to be a big brother. He was hoping for a brother instead of a sister, as most 9-year-old boys do, but he's going to adore his baby sister. Naturally, I'm making a blanket for her.
The yarn is Swish from Knit Picks, which is my go-to yarn for baby stuff because it's a lovely, soft washable wool that comes in great colors. The pattern is the Baby Moderne Blanket from the first Mason-Dixon Knitting book. I should be able to finish the fourth section today and start the fifth. I'll post updates as I make more progress.
