I'm in the longest stretch of the blanket, the two very big blocks knitted side-by-side at the bottom of the blanket.
It's slow going because I have to stop and switch yarns, taking care to twist them so that there isn't a gap between them, in the middle of every row. If I can finish five garter ridges per day, I feel like I'm making good progress.
There's one more long skinny section on the right-hand side of the blanket, and then I'll be ready to put on the border. I think I'm going to do applied I-cord. It looks nice and neat and covers up all the wonky-looking color changes on the edges of the blanket.
