Colorwash Scarf Knit-Along

Believe it or not, in all my years of knitting, this is the first time I've ever done a knit-along. This one was organized by Ann and Kay at Mason-Dixon Knitting. The pattern is the Colorwash Scarf in their third field guide. I used two kettle-dyed sock yarns from Knit Picks in slightly different shades of yellow. This is the final result.

I love it. The stripes are visible but very subtle. The lace pattern really opens up when the piece is blocked, and it's very lightweight. It was cool enough last Sunday that I was able to wear it to church, and I showed it off at our fiber arts group. Everyone loved it. The asymmetrical design was a big hit.

Now I'm using some leftover yarn from various baby blankets to make some scarves for the Christmas at Sea program. I'll post a photo when I'm done with them.
