I have decided not to knit a lot of gifts this year. It's too much pressure, and I really don't have a lot of ideas for various folks. I am knitting a couple of things for my new baby niece, of course. Every baby needs a candy cane hat for her first Christmas.
I also made her this chicken doll because she was born in the year of the Rooster. Isn't that adorable? I found the pattern in Taproot magazine.
Finally, I made some holiday socks for myself. The yarn is Felici from Knit Picks. I had it lying around in the stash.
Now I'm back to knitting another cowl with leftover yarn. If it turns out well, it will be a present for a friend, but if not, I'll just rip it out and save the yarn for something else.
