Souvenir Yarn and a Shawl

Last weekend I was in the Finger Lakes region of New York State visiting family. Of course, I found the local yarn store, Homespun in Trumansburg, near Ithaca, and bought some Malabrigo yarn as a souvenir. I have no idea what I'll make with it yet.

I finished another triangle shawl. This one is for my stepmother, who is 89 and takes blood thinners and is cold all the time.

A co-worker was kind enough to model it for me.

I hope my stepmother likes it. I like the colors a lot.

I'm not sure what I'm going to make next. I'm practicing my crochet skills by making a few more dish cloths. Those are always welcome as hostess gifts.
