A couple of months back I bought 4 balls of Lion brand's Shawl in a Ball. It lives up to its name because each ball has over 400 yards in it, which is more than enough to make a large shawl using size 10 needles. So far, I've made 3 shawls with it, and it turns out beautifully every time. I might have to go back to Michael's and get some more.
I made this prayer shawl for an acquaintance who recently got her third diagnosis of cancer. We don't know each other well, but I feel terrible that this is happening to her again and I wanted to give her whatever small measure of comfort that I could. The color way is called Healing Teal, which I think is appropriate.
Then I made this triangle shawl for an elderly lady at church just because I think she's awesome. She's so sharp and funny and I want to be like her when I grow up. I noticed that she often wears this hot-pink jacket, and I thought this Community Coral color way would look great with it. It is going to be hard to let this one go, because I love those colors myself.
I just started another shawl for a friend who had an even rougher 2019 than I did. I'll post a photos when it's done. Hope 2020 is going well for you so far.
