Sister-in-Law Birthday Scarf Update

I finished the scarf for my SIL's birthday earlier this week and got it in the mail today. Her birthday was last week, so it's late, but I managed to get flowers delivered on her birthday, so I don't feel too badly about it. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

My other project this week was to unravel a lace scarf I had started last summer. I made several mistakes and dropped some stitches, and after picking at it fruitlessly for a while, I decided it was time to admit defeat and just unravel it.

I've started knitting another scarf with the same yarn using the same chevron pattern as I did for the purple scarf above.

Also, this week, I finally redeemed a Webs gift card that a friend gave me last fall for my birthday. I had tried to order different yarn with it, but it was back ordered forever, so I gave up and asked them to cancel the order and put the money back on the card. I used it to buy yet more green yarn.

It is so beautiful. It was worth the wait. I don't know what I'm going to make with it, so it will go into the stash while I work on the lace piece and (maybe) finish a sweater I started for myself ages ago. I'm finding that I really can't concentrate on anything complicated these days, and trying to follow a pattern and do all the shaping for the sweater is kind of futile right now.
