More Prayer Shawls

Even though I don't post much these days, I'm still knitting all the time. Honestly, I think it's the only thing keeping me sane. Work has been really rough (yes, I'm grateful to have a job but that doesn't mean I can't also be resentful that I'm being worked to death), I'm feeling lonely and scared, and my cat is trying to kill me through chronic sleep deprivation. It's like she has reverted to being a kitten who needs me to get up every 3 hours to play with her or feed her. Anyway, I know I'm luckier than most and I'm trying to focus on what's good in my life, and that means knitting.

I've made two triangle prayer shawls for friend, one of whom recently lost her sister and the other who is basically in solitary confinement in her assisted living facility.

I didn't realize until I looked at these photos side by side how similar the colors are. The top one was made using yarn given to me by a friend who is de-stashing.

Speaking of one's stash, of course I've been doing more pandemic purchasing and have bought a lot of yarn. Here is the latest batch from Knit Crate.

What will I do with it? No idea. Right now I'm making yet another shawl for another friend but this time...get the smelling salts ready...it's going to be a half circle, not a triangle. Look at me, trying new things!
