I Am Not Buying Yarn During Lent

But of course, I ordered plenty of yarn before Lent started to make sure I don't run out (I am not in danger of running out). Actually, some of this yarn was ordered in early January, long before I was contemplating how to observe Lent, and is just now arriving because of the ongoing problems with the US postal service.

Like many people, I binge-watched "Bridgerton" on Netflix over my holiday break. The show is not perfect but I enjoyed it a great deal and of course jumped on the bandwagon when various yarn dyers started offering colors inspired by the characters in the show. I got this set of Bridgerton mini-skeins from Annie Paaren. They're very soft (the yarn is a wool, cashmere, nylon blend) so I most likely will make another cowl out of them.

I needed to order yarn for a particular project from Knit Picks, so I also ordered this sock yarn because it's pretty and on sale. I might actually use some of it for socks, since I do need more, but I'm also thinking some of it will become scarves or shawls.

Finally, I bought these 3 coordinated skeins from A Chick That Knitz. There's enough to make a very generous shawl so that's probably what I'll do.
