First 2022 Christmas Gift Done

A few months ago when I was visiting, my 5-year-old niece saw me working on that green Pi Are Square shawl for myself and said she wanted me to make one for her, but in blue. That shawl is way too big for a little kid, so I decided to make a small triangle one instead. I found this blue, purple, and pink variegated sock yarn in my stash. It's machine washable, which is perfect for a kid.

I know she has already forgotten asking me about a shawl so hopefully it will be a fun surprise when she opens it on Christmas.

I have long been obsessed with gradient yarns. There's something about the color combinations and changes that I find really satisfying. I decided to try striping these 2 together to see what would happen.

I'm using a pattern for a parallelogram scarf from one of the MDK field guides. I'm about 2/3 done with it.

I don't know if I'll keep it for myself (I'm not really a pink person but pink and yellow together is aces) or give it to someone for Christmas. If I like how it turns out, I might make some more using some other gradient pairs I recently bought on clearance.

Whatever I choose to make, those 2 green ones at the bottom are mine. I think they're going to look amazing together.
