Can you believe it's November already? Christmas will be here before we know it. I have had 2 requests for knitted Christmas gifts, so I have a lot to keep me busy.
This shawl was not a request but just something I wanted to make for a friend. She and her husband have always been there to support me over the years.
I know she likes orange, although I'm not sure what she'll think about the frilly lace border. I couldn't just leave it plain, though. I can't help gilding a lily.
I used 2 different yarns. The solid peach is from Old Rusted Chair and the variegated is from the now-defunct Black Trillium Fibre.
My friend is small, so I didn't make the shawl as big as I would for myself, which means I have quite a bit of yarn left over. I will throw it back in the stash and use it for baby hats and other small items.
Now on to a cowl in Mets colors requested by my brother-in-law.
