Final Post of 2024

Well, happy new year's eve...I guess. I am not optimistic about the year to come. As I told some friends, the best I can hope for is that I remain ambulatory and employed. But at least I have knitting as a creative outlet.

I used some yarn I found in my stash to make a rib-knit cowl for a friend's birthday. She has had a rough year and deserves something nice.

I still had plenty of that wool-cashmere yarn left and made another lace cowl for another friend, who also has had a rough year. Being part of the sandwich generation, taking care of children and elderly parents, is not for the faint of heart.

I'm going to try to make a couple more cowls as belated Christmas presents for 2 friends. I need to be done by Friday, when I'm having dinner with them.

Anyway, I hope 2025 is good for you and yours.
