School Colors

My nephew started his freshman year of college last month. I feel so old! But I'm very proud of him and excited to see this next step in his journey. I made him a scarf in his school colors.

I used the Fibonacci sequence for the stripes. I used it before for a scarf for myself. It's a great sequence and results in a really cool progression of color. The yarn is Yarnalia Wooly superwash that I bought at  our new local yarn store here in Hyde Park, Fiber Friends Studios.

I had more than enough yarn to make a matching beanie.

I delivered them in person when I visited the family last week. I don't know whether he'll actually use them, but at least I know the hat fits.

My next project will be a lace shawl made with some lace weight wool I found in the stash. I don't know whether I'll keep it or give it away.
